After working as a registered nurse, she went to medical school at the University of Vermont and received the Edward E. McGettrick graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. Accepting new patients.Īmy McGettrick, MD is a native Vermonter who grew up in the Champlain Islands. In her free time she enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, reading, cooking, watching movies, gardening, and spending time with her family and two cats, Merry and Pippin. Her passions include health promotion, nutrition, and lactation education. While working as a nurse, she also completed her Master’s degree through Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, with a focus on family medicine. Before coming to CHC, she worked at UVM Medical Center’s inpatient Hematology and Oncology unit as a chemotherapy nurse from 2019 to 2022, where she gained valuable clinical knowledge and a deeper connection with her community. She completed her nursing education through VTC and has experience in outpatient pediatrics and family medicine. She received an undergraduate education in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Sciences from the University of Vermont, where she developed an interest in health promotion and wellness.
